Kasich: Wish POTUS would not nominate.

Carson: Create healing; won't get it with Potus Obama.

Rubio: POTUS should not appoint. Originalist.

Bush: No litmus test on specific issues, but believes in limited government. POTUS has the right to appoint, and needs a concencus but there won't be one.

Cruz: Precedent to not confirm in nomination year. Senate should 'stand firm' against. OH FFS, then he campaigns for himself.

Re delaying, a historian friend of me that delaying has never been done past 90 days, as far he knew. In 1968 Strom Thurmond opposed Johnson's choice for political reasons. There would be a new president in 6 months. After Thurmond blocked Johnson's choice, it became known as the Thurmond Rule.

Note: it's not really a rule though...just politics used when it is convenient for the ruling party.
