why is it any more appropriate to allow a brand new president to appoint a justice...

....than it is to allow a seasoned president of seven years to do so??

...not unlike the one we're seeing now. A new President comes after the polls of course, when the electorate's desire is very clearly known. All we know now is what the desire was 3 years ago.

Again, that's the thinking. Doesn't mean I agree.
