The Oregon Live website says Clive was arrested on federal charges related to the standoff at

his ranch. Maybe the feds were just waiting for him to be away from his bunker, unarmed (because of being on an airplane), and not surrounded by armed supporters or human shields.

Or maybe this Malheur adventure, which was undoubtedly fueled by their belief that the feds were too scared to touch them and would be easily forced to stand down, finally persuaded the feds that such loons cannot be given even an inch.

You know the old saying: if you let the camel get its nose into the tent, pretty soon you have camel snot all over everything.

(Wut? That's not how the saying goes! Heh heh heh.)

Oops. Forgot the link:

Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher who touched off one armed showdown with federal authorities and applauded another started in Oregon by his sons, was arrested late Wednesday at Portland International Airport and faces federal charges related to the 2014 standoff at his ranch.

Bundy, 74, was booked into the downtown Multnomah County jail at 10:54 p.m.

He faces a conspiracy charge to interfere with a federal officer. . . .

I'm hoping the whole lot of government-hating Welfare Cowboys spend several years in prison.
Hopefully the FBI has more of these 'patriot' idiots under observation, and can pick them up one by one.

For the most part they always get their man/woman whichever the case may be.
I like the way they waited out the old man so as to take him without endangering anyone including himself. We already know old man bundy isn't the sharpest tool in the shed by the shit he thinks he can get away with so for that, good Job FBI

5. But though there are undoubtedly sympathisers in Oregon, there is more hostility

about outsiders coming in to cause trouble, make a mess, and cost the community and the state a lot of money. I bet some of that hostility will leak onto ol' Clive, too.

Wow,I guess our Federal Courts here did find some back bone. Know of the Agent who made the charges. Kind of a neat hard working guy and seems very professional. The Guy needs a big,way-to-go.

That's the problem with most of these morons. They outsmart themselves over and over and think they know more than folks who really know what they're doing.

n a separate case, Bundy's 69-year-old father, Cliven Bundy, was charged Thursday with conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States, assault on a federal law enforcement officer, using and carrying a firearm in relation to a crime of violence, obstruction of the administration of justice and interference with commerce by extortion, the Department of Justice said in a press release.

In 2014, he allegedly led an armed standoff in Nevada in 2014 over grazing rights. If convicted, he could face up to 42 years in prison for all of the charges combined, plus a $250,000 fine per count.

It was unclear why the charges were brought forth now. Cliven Bundy's lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

10. If they had made the charges public earlier, it would have spooked him.

Instead the FBI kept a low profile and waited until Cliven got careless. Bundy probably thought he wouldn't be charged for the 2014 crimes. Glad they got their guy. Hope they confiscate his cattle for the back grazing fees.

exactly where he should be too. Hopefully his farm/ranch will be seized and his cattle removed from our federal lands. We can now turn another page on this.

Good Job LEO's, FBI and all involved.

Excellent job by the FBI. Now I shall await the federal prosecution to nail his ass to the wall. (Someone really needs to be made an example of, and this mooching creep would be an excellent choice.)
