I'm amazed that so many modern people regard it as anything other than a collection of mythology on par with stories about Zeus and Thor.

I'm always half concerned/half apprehensive at people who take a book of supernatural stories so seriously that they want to inject these supernatural tales as a means of governance, as a means of cultural dictation and a blueprint for patriarchal dictatorship.

It's also pretty bizarre when they credit plain and simple dumb luck, coincidence, accidents of history, science and genetic inheritance to an invisible man in the sky. It's as if there cannot be a reason for anything good or bad to happen unless there's a daddy, real or imagined, involved.
