Man, the hate them some Beyoncé

Facebook is flooded with 'Beyoncé is the WORST EVER!' posts. Mostly from Breitbart it seems usually including what she DIDN'T do/say and even comparing her to Miss Piggy.

My response:

I'm sorry that lady spoiled your nationally televised military fly over corporate welfare party.
-paraphrasing Forrest Gump

The main problem I have with this whole lemming like following of selective "news" created divisiveness is that freedom of SPEECH is what the military protects. The Founding Fathers made it #1 for a reason (along with separation of church and state). Oh by the way - you do realize that she and the other acts paid to be in the halftime show, right?....please tell me your selective "news" outfit included that part of the equation.

And it has nothing to do with the recent Super Bowl.

Beyonce is good at what she does--especially dancing. She's a decent pop/R&B singer, and she's quite attractive. I just think she thinks she is better than she is. I dislike watching her on talk shows; she's kind of annoying. Lol

I do enjoy listening to her songs on the radio and in the club.

The first time I ever 'noticed' her was in the Austin Powers franchise. Way back then I said "That kid has got >>>>>>IT!!!<<<<<" -- "it" being that thing, that magic, that makes someone an icon.

I'm a bit out of her target age range in terms of her musical product; but even so, I can appreciate her talent.

Well-respected in the music business, multiple Grammy winner, Golden Globe nominee, Emmy Nominee, SAG nominee. So I don't agree that she's underrated. You're just a little late in discovering her. Lol She's certainly gotten her due.

I think she's good, but not that good. As I said, I do like her songs. They're fun.

Of course, when I see predatory old guys up in the club, or middle-aged ladies shoving the ten year olds out of the way to buy the newest Harry Potter book, I do think there are times when your years give you call to take a step back!

Why? Because if I ever find myself seated near her in a fancy restaurant, I know she's got some hot sauce in her bag for me to borrow!

Can't believe people have a problem with freedom to express an opinion....

But then again, we see that here on this little board every day!

As for the military, they Preserve, Protect and DEFEND the Constitution of the United States--which includes all that of which you speak?

All across the RW media (how can all of them have the exact some opinion?) they attacked her and then filled more airtime playing victim when there was any criticism.

It's all race baiting that took a nationalist/cops-can't-be-wrong turn.

I wonder what the reaction would have been had she displayed a sign saying "Justice for Tarpman"...

Not surprised republicans are a racist party. They seem to some strange hate on women.

It was a good performance at halftime by all the artists.

I was reading how the halftime show was good (not great but good) and her homage to MJ's halftime show, then all of a sudden, black panther etc started popping up on my Twitter feed and other forums. Couldn't figure out how they got the black panther party out of her halftime show. At first I thought they were talking about she and her backups dressed like real black panthers.

I didn't watch the halftime show, but my best friend said it sucked, even Coldplay. It's a pretty sad day when Coldplay sucks.

Some people here directed me to the video of Lady Gaga singing the national anthem, which was very good. It surprised me because I don't really like Lady Gaga.

But it's HER performance, and she can do what she wants as long as the powers that pay her to perform are happy with what she does.

I can change the channel - certainly NOT because of her political or social issues stance, but because I simply don't like her. She has a decent voice when she will SING, but all that jerking and hip/hop stuff rhythmic talking is just not my thing. I feel the same way about Gaga. Love it when she SINGS, but can't stand all the theater and rhythmic talking.
