Here Are Some Of The Absolute Worst Predictions Of The 2016 Race So Far

It’s been a long, protracted election season so far, which has allowed ample time for pundits on both sides of the aisle to make very bad, authoritative predictions about the 2016 race.

Much of the conventional wisdom has been completely thrown out between former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s disappointing showing in the GOP race, Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) insurgent campaign giving Hillary Clinton’s vast operation a run for its money and a former reality TV star handily winning the New Hampshire primary.

Here are just a few of the worst 2016 predictions that pundits and journalists have made so far this election cycle.

That Walker would be a top-tier candidate

....

That Trump would flame out early

....

Discounting Sanders as a political curiosity

....

Jeb! will be the GOP nominee. Period.

....

Paul as savior of the Republican Party

....

He could pull a McCain still, sadly. I won't breathe easily on that count til I see him drop out.

He sounded like a joke candidate before he announced; when he did announce, with a racist attack on Mexicans, I thought he'd be shunned by so many Republicans who wanted to appear unbigoted that he wouldn't stand a chance. But whatever crap he's come out with, Republicans have stuck by him. As he said himself, he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and not lose any voters. I underestimated the bigotry of Republicans.

Shit doesn't get real until we hit the spring months for many, even after the big voting events like super tuesday. Which is why it's best for ones health to ignore such things and just focus on what you want to get done for your candidate of choice.
