Much of the conventional wisdom has been completely thrown out between former Florida Gov. Jeb Bushs disappointing showing in the GOP race, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) insurgent campaign giving Hillary Clintons vast operation a run for its money and a former reality TV star handily winning the New Hampshire primary.

(101,321 posts)He sounded like a joke candidate before he announced; when he did announce, with a racist attack on Mexicans, I thought he'd be shunned by so many Republicans who wanted to appear unbigoted that he wouldn't stand a chance. But whatever crap he's come out with, Republicans have stuck by him. As he said himself, he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and not lose any voters. I underestimated the bigotry of Republicans.
