There is an evil rising and taking hold in the electorate..

These are changing times.. on both sides of the aisle.."To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" Ecclesiastes 3 .. also a wonderful song written by Pete Seeger.. made famous by the Byrds..

We are most definitely in a changing season politically..

But on the right.. there is a darkness taking hold.. a fear.. that could consume the country..

I thought the Donald was just a person dedicated to his own celebrity when he first came on the scene.. now with the nodding heads of the press.. I have reassessed this man..

Donald Trump is willing to say and do anything to get elected.. and for some reason..he is not held accountable ..

He talks about protecting everyone.. people are fearful..and when they are fearful they run into directions you would never even begin to assume.

We have seen this play before in this country.. but never have we seen it take such a deep hold in recent times

Hitler targeted the Jews as the source of all the German problems and issues.. people want easy answers, a scapegoat to pin point all their problems on.. and minorities, racial and religious are the target of the Donald.. and the powers that be in the press are giving him a pass just as they gave the Bush administration a pass on the Iraq war..

Interesting times

EDIT..I re-posted this from GDP.. realized I was in wrong forum..

It's not just hope - it's realizing that we actually do have power and can make things better for all of us. Thank you Bernie!

and they are so stumping for Trump.. unwilling to even acknowledge the things he has said.. I have this gosh awful feeling of revisiting the past so to speak. we were here in 2002.. keep your eyes on the prize.. I am not picking between Sanders and Clinton.. I just want them both to be strong.. and the supporters to be strong..

so you'll have to search on your own.

MSNBC must have repeated it 50 times over the last 3 days, as well.

I just don't understand it.

are the target". It is what the right has done historically and it is what they are doing now. Trump is not the only one. He is very similar to RW populists in Europe and elsewhere.

"Donald Trump is willing to say and do anything to get elected"

that is a story line that the media loves to throw at candidates. That was one of their scripts about Al Gore.

Playing the Hitler card, That is another common script that I guess will be with us for 1,000 years even if the Reich is not. Every President, every candidate for office will probably be compared to Hitler by their detractors. Silly. For one thing Germany was in much tougher shape when Hitler arose than America is now. For another anti-semitism was much stronger in that culture than any sort of islamophobia or racism is in this one. For another, Jews were a much smaller group in Germany than "minorities" are in this one.

seriously.. the Donald wants to keep every Muslim in the world from entering our country.. He sees all Hispanic immigrants as rapists.. And yes there is a comparison to the techniques that Hitler used to gain power.. playing on fears.. blaming the other.. not only Hitler.. Pol Pot.. you see in in North Korea.. we have had other hitler lites (using the same technique of fear mongering he did) try to gain power in this country..but they folded up like a cheap tent.. this one is just growing like a fungus..
