The Christie camp made a decision early on in the campaign to hinge its bets on a strong showing in New Hampshires first-in-the-nation primary, hoping that his tell it like it is style and record as governor of a blue state would resonate with voters.
Damn, he did us SUCH a good turn with Rubio...

The survivors are all strong to ultra- conservative, except for The Loose Flywheel, under whose orange hair alarming fascist whims may coexist without dissonance with amoral megalomania, ruthless laissez-faire behaviors, and occasional moderately liberal ideas -- hard to know and subject to change at any time.

(764 posts)He feeds off of other people attention so bet he will try and get on TV one more time. Wonder what he is doing right now back at home; making calls to try and get more funding? Maybe phone calls of thanks for trashing Rubio from all the other candidates? Maybe trying to get on someone elses ticket with his 3 delegates? Trying to set up another concession speech? Going over upcoming bridge court case with lawyers?
Whatever he is doing right now its a big change from the last year...epic

(103,856 posts)His "time" was 2012, but I think (to him) his weight was an issue, so he spent time & money trying to get slimmer.. It worked a little, but not really all that much, and by the time 2016 rolled around he was no longer popular, and scandals dogged him..
The bloom was off his rose"
Hillary's "time" was 2004, but she did not want to oppose GW...thought it would be a foregone conclusion in 2008.. She did not plan on Obama.. She really only knows one way to campaign and that way is now stale..Reminds me of that great hunk of steak you bring home from the restaurant.. After it's been in the fridge more than a day or two,it's not so tasty

Governor Christie suspended his presidential campaign Wednesday, one day after a disappointing primary finish in New Hampshire, where he staked his fortunes after having spent more time, money and resources there than most of the other candidates.
I leave the race without an ounce of regret. Im so proud of the campaign we ran, the people that ran it with me and all those who gave us their support and confidence along the way, Christie said in a message on his Facebook page.
Christie met with his staff at his campaign headquarters in Morristown at 4 p.m. today, joined by wife, Mary Pat, and eldest son, Andrew, spokeswoman Maria Comella said.
