The "moderate" John Kasich (not) (some references)

It should be no surprise to people on this forum that Kasich is "moderate" only in demeanor, but I thought that this paragraph from Charles Pierce might be useful for folks should his candidacy advance.

http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/news/a41999/john-kasich-new-hampshire-ground-game/

The original article has hyperlinks sourcing several of the statements below:

The game will change on the way to Super Tuesday, and a lot of it will take place in the air and on the airwaves. More attention means more questions, some of them very hard. In New Hampshire, Kasich only had to swing at softballs about why it took two months for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to tell Sebring residents of the high lead levels in their municipal water supply. Kasich's successful attempts to legislate and regulate against abortion rights in Ohio have also flown largely under the radar, as has his initial decision to refuse federal disaster relief after tornadoes ravaged Ohio in 2012. And the self-professed moderate, Kasich—who used to joke that he was Tea Party before there was a Tea Party—will be forced to explain why he relied on Tea Party support to help bring him to the governor's mansion in 2010.

And that doesn't even get into the union-busting, and more.

Ironically, Trump has some moderate positions, but it's hard to know from his disgusting rhetoric and general idiocy.

He is intentionally flying under the radar and in my opinion
he is worse. They come out and say what he feels.

He does not want voters to know he is anti-abortion,
pro wall street, and anti-union. His party cohorts do
not like him.

He is a skunk.

I doubt he will be able to raise money from the base, the base is not moderate at all and they want that red meat BS. He is running a general election campaign in a GOP RW primary. Won't work.

Not that there's much chance in hell I'd vote for either him or Gilmore.

Kasich was an investment banker and general manager at LEHMAN BROS. during 2001-2008 where he made hundreds of thousands of dollars, possibly millions in exec. stock option bonuses on top of his salary, in between Ohio congressman and governor.
"He was a commentator on *FOX News Channel, hosting Heartland with John Kasich from 2001 to 2007. He also worked as an investment banker, a managing director of Lehman Brothers' Columbus, Ohio, office."[6][7] Wiki

I haven't spoken to him in years but do not be fooled he is one of the funding members
of ALEC ( http://www.alecexposed.org/wiki/ALEC_Exposed ), he wants to close public
schools, he wants to get rid of the USPS, and he pulled off a scam here in OH that would
make Bernie Madoff blush (he sold all the profits of state liquor sales to his wall st/banker
buddies $5 billion borrowed against the back end of the deal and they get @ least $15 billion
... I think those figures are right).

This is one of the first things he tried to pull on Ohio. It was soundly defeated.

Senate Bill 5 (SB5) was repealed by Ohio voters after a campaign by firefighters, police officers and teachers against the measure,[1] which would have limited collective bargaining for public employees in the state. The formal title of the proposal that this measure nullified is Senate Bill 5. Among other provisions, SB 5 would have prevented unions from charging fair share dues to employees who opt out.[2] The process to place the referendum on the ballot for voters to decide was completed by supporters, as signatures were certified by the Ohio Secretary of State. The group behind the referendum effort was the political action committee We Are Ohio.

Senate Bill 5 would have impacted the state's 400,000 public workers, restricting their ability to strike and collectively bargain. The bill would have limited public employees to collectively bargain for wages, preventing them from collectively bargaining for health insurance and pensions. It would also have prohibited all public employees from striking and could have increased employee contributions for pensions and healthcare.

He's also anti-LGBTQI, visibly uncomfortable around blue collar workers and boasts about helping create the Tea Party.
