Chris Matthews asked Trump what he'll do to make US military No. 1 again?

Tweety couldn't be more obvious: All he and his employers want is more Reagan Trickle Down Welfare for Warmongers. He tossed the bankrupt NAZI Drumpf a softball and let him ramble about a general he knows who says, "Yeah, we need more stuff to deal with Isis or whatever." Blah blah analysis by a panel that it will make America Trump again. All personality, nothing that matters, which explains why all the low information voters. Chuck Todd told his "Buddy" Tweety to let him finish talking so he could puff up Trump properly. Nothing going to Tweety and Pentagon question: Why all the wars?

Almost forgot: Tweety, the US military hasn't been second to anyone since 1776.

Add in the wars without end and the DoD budget runs about $600 billion per.

And the under 600 ship Navy doing the job now is breaking the bank to stay afloat.

Taxes need to be paid and new missions using what we got. Have em play Defense, like intended.

The nation has a few other pressing matters for action. Good jobs. Good schools. Good water, for examples.

We got a bit of a spanking in 1814 from the British. Fortunately for us, they were kind of busy with Napoleon, or we might have had a short stint as a country.

Oops, I meant 1815, not 1813, and 1814, not 1812.

History usually is written by the victor. I'm a proponent for maintaining the strongest military might in the world. We need to be smarter how we do it.

For starters: War should not be a for-profit enterprise in a democracy.

Trillion dollar fighters that can't outperform an F-16 should not be bought.
