1. He is a real threat. I worry about him more than anyone else in the clown car.

The (R)s need Ohio and Kasich has the advantage there. That means they have more resources to put into other battleground states.

He has a good resume and isn't a nut job. Compared to the other (R)s that makes him a God.

This is the guy to worry about.

He just happens to be from a State that requires you to act like you're not in order to get anywhere in electoral politics. Besides, as 'establishment' as he is, the Base wont want him. Also, in order for him to sit at the top of the ticket, the moneyed establishment over there will have to back him, and that means (you guessed it) taking donations from Wall Street, billionares, and Super-PACS, meaning Sen Sanders will rip him to shreds out on the campaign trail. The only way to avoid it is to have Trump on the ticket and talk TehDonald into paying for the whole general campaign--and if you think that man is going to spend a Thin Dime glorifying anyone but himself with a top spot, you dont understand how narcisscism works.

The people who pull the strings will want Kasich now, or Bush (rubio's done now this cycle, he just doesnt know it yet). The idiots will choose Cruz or Trump. If I had to place bets, Id say ST for them will look a lot like NH did today with no single candidate getting above 40%. If so, theres a possibility they get a brokered convention and if that happens, it wont matter what they do..the optics from that are so bad moving into the general it will be a Democratic LOCK on the White House, with a greater than average that we take back the Senate.

I think he is done too.

That really just leaves Kasich or Trump or Cruz.

If he can manage to animate himself a little, and convince the trump supporters he's just as ballsout as TheManHimself, he can pull a lot of votes down in the midwest. To best cruz, he has to sell himself as a religious conservative that can compete in a general election. He can do both of these things, but he's running out of time. If Trump has even a decent showing in SC, he will be in a very good position for ST. If he does well there (and he will only need high 40s in winner take all states cause the rest will split the remainder of the %ages, he's their guy and there won't be any stopping it.

And then a Democrat gets to be President again=)

No I don't like Kasich, and his candidacy concerns me as a possible VP (he won't be on the top of the ticket), but he seems the least batshit crazy of the Republican lot and it gives me hope that even some republicans can recognize the crazy in their own party...

Having said that, Trump won and Cruz finished third so it's clear there's still not nearly enough of them.

7. He can't win the nomination BECAUSE he isn't a nut job...

Seems nut job is the 1st requirement for a GOP nominee...and all of them fit the bill.
