In the middle of CNY chaos, Chinese woman miraculously becomes the sole passenger on flight to GuangzhouOne woman has been dubbed "the world's luckiest passenger" after nabbing a flight to Guangzhou completely free of any other passengers thanks to that snow storm earlier this week that also happened to leave 100,000 people stranded together at the Guangzhou Railway Station.
Amid blizzard-induced CNY chaos in Wuhan, the woman, surnamed Zhang, snatched an entire plane all for herself after all other passengers on flight CZ2833 were moved on to an earlier plane. Zhang flew solo, while others traveling the other way weren't quite so lucky.
She thus enjoyed personalized service from flight attendants and got to roam the cabin at her leisure. "I felt so happy, it was a rare life experience for me and it was new," shared Zhang on her Weibo. "I felt like a rockstar."
Zhang's post received hundreds of shares and comments, with most netizens congratulating her on her incredible fortune during the world's largest migration, one Weibo user commented: "Sister, you are clearly the world's luckiest passenger - cherish it."

Sure, I could sit wherever I felt like on the 200 seat Airbus, but the cabin crew sat up at the very front together, and they seemed to take the night off. Gave me one complementary drink but they otherwise left me alone. It was a short flight, anyway.

(8,692 posts)Always due to weather and scheduling, the plane had to be somewhere else with or without the delayed connecting passengers.
When I was a kid me and my grandparents had a Canadian Pacific DC-8 to ourselves, there were no flight attendants on board but the flight engineer checked on us periodically. I don't know what the exact circumstances of that were but we departed from Long Beach and not LAX and didn't arrive at the terminal at Vancouver. It had to be a maintenance flight or something.

(12,754 posts)It's not common, but it happens. I had a friend who was the sole passenger on a 747 once. She said it was really creepy. When all the flight attendants went off to do whatever. She was all alone in a giant space.
