It is very unusual to not have below zero weather here this time of year. I have only had to have my driveway plowed twice so far. There's been more rain than snow.
It's the time of year for Calvin's snowmen.
I say. Bring on the snow sharks! That guy's a goner!
And oh dear! What hath Calvin wrought?
More if one Googles "Calvin snowmen". And more below.
Happy February to all of you! Keep bundled up. No big snow here yet. I fear for March.

(20,582 posts)last few weeks. (Southern SK, Canada). Snow, but not nearly as much as many years. I love seeing a lot of snow - a pain in the butt the first day or so on the roads, but so happy to see it in the fields for moisture in the spring.

Over the past month, their average temperature has been 11 degrees Celsius - 20 degrees Fahrenheit - above normal.
The Barents Sea, between Svalbard, Norway and Russia, has under half the normal ice for this time of year (about 0.28 million sq. km, when it should be 0.63):

One does not want that to melt.
Our agricultural heritage is stored there. And very possibly our future ability to live on, if one takes plant genetic diversity seriously. And one should. Somewhat over 840,000 samples are preserved there.

Yup! It is awesome.
