http://www.stereogum.com/1856977/presidential-candidate-john-kasich-promises-to-reunite-pink-floyd-if-elected/video/The Ohio Governor spoke to CNN about his campaign today, and the interview concluded with Alisyn Camerota asking him about his favorite concert ever. Pink Floyds The Wall, Kasich replied. Roger Waters is a remarkable artist. I saw The Wall in Pittsburgh; it was absolutely incredible. I dont even have to think twice, it was the best. And if Im president, I am going to once and for all try to reunite Pink Floyd to come together and play a couple songs. And since we have so much trouble in America with our finances, Im going to start with a little song they created called Money.' Well, there ya have it!
A couple problems with his statements. First he did not see Pink Floyd's The Wall in Pittsburgh. Pink Floyd did not tour the wall in the US outside of NY and LA. He saw Roger Water's tour of it.
Second it would be a neat trick to reunite Pink Floyd since Rick Wright has been dead for seven years.

But I doubt he'd care for Roger's lifelong democratic socialist politics. He seems more of a Bernie kind of guy.

(14,177 posts)Sure he is dumb as a box of rocks. And he has no plans worth talking about. But, his utter innocence about how the world is, well that is just precious. And he likes Pink Floyd.

(11,093 posts)"Money" isn't even part of "The Wall" - it was part of "Dark Side of the Moon". Sheesh.
Miight I suggest "Pigs" from "Animals"?
Probably not "Wish you were Here".
"A momentary lapse of reason" might apply
And that's the extent of his presidential promises? God help us. I'm happy to have Pink Floyd back, but who is he to pull it off, and is that the most he can accomplish? If so, he should go for Don Kirschner's old job.
Politics are just getting ludicrous around here - particularly on the GOP side.
