After Five Years of Service, this Kitty Got a Much Deserved Promotion

Source: LoveMeow

Felix was nine weeks old when she came to Huddersfield Railway Station in West Yorkshire, England to help the humans tackle the rodent problem. Now five years later, with her dedication and hard work, she is no longer just a simple mouse catcher. Felix is now Senior Pest Controller and even has earned her very own visibility jacket and name tag.

“She was a few weeks old when she came to the station. Donated by a colleague,” Huddersfield Railway Station told Love Meow.

“Her daily duties include begging for food from passengers and colleagues. Patrolling the platforms, occasionally making an appearance in the concourse. And chasing off the odd rodent. She has been known to wander down to dominos pizza when bored.”

Greeting commuters in the morning.

Keeping a look out for the 0640 to the airport

Felix excels in everything she does and keeps the commuters safe from rodents.

All but one in a thousand calicos are female. Alas, the Japanese stationmaster used up her ninth life a few years ago. People used to come all the way out to her tiny rural station just to see her.

... back in the late 80s, when I was a student at Huddersfield Polytechnic.

On Saturday mornings I used to get the train through to Leeds, to go shopping at Jumbo and Crash - Leeds' two greatest record shops. Aaaah, those were the days.

Wish there had been a cute fluffy kitty around to keep me company back then!

Yes, well deserved. I can't believe how much time it must take to compile.

when I find something I think he might like, I message him to try to help out a little. At least I hope it helps Like you say, it is the first stop on Sunday for a lot of us, and it wouldn't be the same without it. I really miss the Top 10 Conservative Idiots and the DUzy Awards. I don't want SCE's to go anywhere.

I've had all colors, but my black and whites were always the smartest.

The marmalades are by far the stupidest, but very, very sweet.

One thing I miss about Boston is the store cat. Stores serious about rat control always had a cat on premises and the health inspectors generally looked the other way as long as the cat was well cared for. Cat hair was seen as preferable to rodent feces.
