Carly Fiorina Just Unleashed an Unhinged Rant Against Hillary Clinton

—By Max J. Rosenthal
| Thu Jan. 28, 2016 8:24 PM EST

Carly Fiorina brought down the house at tonight's GOP undercard debate with a long, vicious rant against Hillary Clinton that included everything from a recycled El Chapo joke to a call to indict Clinton over her role in Benghazi. Or because of her emails. Or something.

Here's a quick rundown of the things Fiorina accused Clinton of:

Being a wannabe dictator: "Hillary Clinton would do anything to gain and hold onto power, anything." That's why she didn't leave Bill, apparently.

Wrongly refusing to leave her husband: "If my husband did what Bill Clinton did, I would have left him long ago." Fiorina insisted that line "wasn't a personal attack."

not to mention all the other nasty that comes from her mouth.

While I don't like fixating on "looks", I do believe both Fiorino and Cruz--even more so than the others-- reflect their inner "ugly" on their faces.

in both their faces, you are right. Even when they smile it shows.

Yes, a women is not responsible for what her husband does.

But, you do have to agree - that most women probably
would have dumped him? Don't you think? I would have. The supreme
and utter humiliation of it all would have added so much insult
to injury. But, guess you could look at it like she rose above it all? I don't know.
I also think it could and I emphasis could indicate a weakness in her - that she always acted like she believed him. Like "women who love too much" syndrome?

Not trying to diss her in any way...just trying to make sense of what most would agree is hard to understand. Why political wives forgive.

Then there's David Vitter's wife forgiving for diapers and prostitutes

And, Anthony Weiner

from a cheating husband in everyday life, I tend to doubt any woman would walk away from all the benefits of being First Lady, even if the secret life of POTUS was revealed for the world to see via the relentless investigations of the repukes and the salacious Starr report.

I was a stalwart Clinton defender back in 1998 when the Monica melodrama played out. The repukes had been so hell bent on getting something, anything on Clinton (Whitewater -- nothing there, Vince Foster -- nothing there, etc.) that when they finally hit on Monica (phrasing intended), they thought they had hit pay dirt. Recall, however, the blowjob affair was over by the time repukes discovered it had ever happened. In fact, Bill had ended it because he knew it was wrong and felt guilty about it. And here's the other big part, he did not have intercourse with her. He disclosed (after being forced to) that that activity was reserved for his wife. That was his definition of sex (which BTW was the same definition used by some philandering repukes), so his parsing of words was rather understanding even if many found it egregious.

Bottom line, the repukes VICTIMIZED everyone (Hillary, Chelsea, the public, even Monica and Paul Jones) in their path of attempted destruction of a Democratic POTUS. They made accusations and hurled mud until something stuck. They dragged out every tawdry detail for all the world to see. Most women in those circumstances, while furious at their husbands, would have been far angrier at the behavior of the hypocrites behind the revelation of an affair that was already OVER.

Bill didn't preach a code of behavior or broadcast his clandestine activities. The repukes did, so his behavior is far different from Weiner posting/flaunting his weiner or Vitter pontificating on family values while being a freak with prostitutes.

Then, too, marriage is complicated, especially a long term marriage where many elements: love (not necessarily the romantic/sexual kind), respect (of intellect, capabilities), shared experiences, child(ren), power, etc. are involved. I lived in DC for 40 years and saw how power was and remains an aphrodisiac. Back in the old days, it was not quite as intimately tied to such exorbitant amounts of money as it is today, but combine money and power, and women (some... not trying to brand my gender, but it is true) will throw themselves at the men who have it and the men who wield it.

Now when I look back, I feel the repukes won because with all their allegations, investigations and other distractions, we didn't recognize all the other wolves in sheep's clothing: NAFTA, Telecommunications Act, Welfare Deform, overturning Glass Steagall!

Also, looking back is what had me scratching my head at Obama's attempts to make nice! Sheeze, those sleaze bag repukes did everything possible (with media complicity) to destroy a white Democratic POTUS so there was no way they would ever accept, much less work WITH, that Kenyan Muslim

And never forget how repukes insisted that Clinton testify before a grande jury (with live filming) about an affair while Bushco was allowed to dodge the same about 911! I absolutely loathe repukes, every last one of them including that vile wicked witch of the __ (oops, forgot was it east or west), Carly.

Anyway, it is time for a change from all the Clinton baggage and policies. Feel the Bern

Definitely agree that the Repukes are (were?) masters at unified messaging with specific goals. With Clinton, it was sex and anything else they could dig up. With Clinton - they lost - he left with great approval.

With Obama, it is indeed racism masked in "hell we can't be overt racists, let's just block everything and trash everything he does" strategy. Sadly, they seem to have won with this. Hell, they met at lunch during Inauguration 1 on that. Hell - the man caught Bin Laden !! Jesus - can you imagine if Reagan did that?

But, even though, as you say, no first lady would leave, it still casts a shadow upon her. She chose position over "what most women would do". i understand they had a secret pact - no actual intercourse - but, hell, what woman would agree to that. Sure, I definitely think it works for them - I am talking about every day women voters out there.

And just who is accusing whom of being a wannabe dictator, Carly? Any why should the sins of the husband be visited upon the wife?
