Charter principal tries to stop corruption. Gets fired.

The former principal of a Volusia County charter school that local education leaders voted to close because of mismanagement is now suing the school and a contractor who is running it.

snip

The suit claims that Lumpkin was the "driving force" behind Crosby's recent suspension without pay and that she interfered with his plan to divert money to himself or his company.

snip

The lawsuit also claims the school retaliated against Crosby and violated Florida's whistleblower law by suspending her after she notified the charter board that it wasn't following its own policies or state law.

snip

Both Crosby and Lumpkin have ties to a failed Orlando school that was closed last year because of mismanagement.

...as long as they do NOT receive One Single Nickle of Tax Payer Money.

We already have a Public School System funded by our Tax Dollars.
We do NOT need a private system siphoning off money intended for our Public Schools.
The Public School System IS our Common Responsibility.
If the Public School System is "broken",
the it is OUR responsibility to FIX it,
not de-fund it.

Private (Charter) Schools should be funded from "PRIVATE" sources.

Other things that should NEVER receive Public Money:

*Private Vote Counting and Tabulating machines

*Armed "Security Contractors" (mercenaries)

*For Profit Health Insurance Corporations

*Private Prisons

*Private (Charter) Schools

*For Profit Private Administering and Maintaining of our Public Lands and Resources

In a democracy, ALL of the above are Our Commons.
It should set your hair on fire when ANY of the above are privatized.

A simple FIX for our Public School System:
Require everyone who receives a check from Uncle Sam to send their kids to the nearest Public School.
