Mike Bloomberg polled a three way race with him, Hillary, and Trump

I haven't seen this posted on DU before.

Michael R. Bloomberg, the billionaire media executive and former New York mayor, was intrigued enough by the prospect of Mr. Trump’s becoming the Republican standard-bearer that he commissioned a poll last month testing how he would fare against Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton, according to two sources close to Mr. Bloomberg. But he has often very publicly flirted with a run, savored the attention, then announced that he would not pursue the candidacy.

Whatever Mr. Bloomberg decides, the election so far has been upended by voters who live far from his world and, for the first time in years, feel as if their voices are being heard. Dave Conger, 60, a salesman who showed up at a Cruz campaign stop last week with a Cruz pin on his chest, said he had worked to elect both President George W. Bush and his father, but “was told a lot of things and nothing ever happened.”

That's a lot of NY for one race. Two billionaires.

generally, although I did like his support here:

I'm guessing money isn't a problem. But Bloomberg should speak with an insightful team of advisors to determine if someone who really lacks the common touch can expect to compete in a presidential race.

To the extent that this is an increasingly common cognition.... there is some hope for the future.

Not picking on you, Smarmie, but the idiot knows the GOP hasn't done shit for him and yet there he is, at a Trump rally. Stupidity reigns and always will. That's some cognitive dissonance right there.

(Don't alert please. It's a private joke.)

Seriously: I'll take whatever hope I can find. Wherever I can find it and in whatever quantity.

If someone at age 62 suddenly recognizes that 1 plus 1 = 2 ... i.e. putting the GOP in power does not work to the benefit of the "average" working class person.....it stands to reason that he MIGHT soon be looking at 2 +2 ( i.e. finding more constructive ways to channel his political energy than attending Trump rallies) .

Attitudinal change generally takes a long time. Where politics is concerned, anyway. Barring a world war and/or a full-scale depression.
