It appears John Mc Cain is not nasty or or conservative enough. Neither is Lindsay Graham. Neither are other really conservative Republicans. I am not sure what these bastards want. Based on the rhetoric they won't be happy until every non white person is deported even if they are citizens. They would even send black Americans back to Africa. And they won't be happy until all progressives, Democrats, liberals, gays and disable are in camps. And they won't be happy until there are no taxes and no safety net of any kind. They seem to want a unhappy miserable world where just a select few control everything. And violence and intimidate is their main stock in trade.
And why does anyone buy their shit? I just do not get it it. In my view we are sliding backwards in so many small ways and I see little progress forward. The fact that Obama had to veto the repeal of ACA and Planned Parenthood is notable. How this these crappy bills even get that far and how did they get out of the Senate?
I am just dumbfounded that all the things that Reagan and his allies started has gotten so far. I am worried that the destructive Reagan revolution will reach its goal.

It would be required that a Nativity appear on every town square, the Ten Commandments posted in every school and public building and the Pledge of Allegiance and Lord's Prayer said at the beginning of every class and public event.
They would eliminate the Supreme Court, except for ceremonial purposes.
All public lands -- including the national parks -- would be given to private interests for resource extraction.
Schools would be segregated again.
The Confederate flag will be designated a national treasure.
Poll taxes would be reinstituted (they've almost achieved this).
And of course, Mt. Rushmore will be modified to replace all four busts with Saint Ronnie.

(25,406 posts)Which Republican said that? Of course that's a rhetorical question because we both know that it didn't happen. There are plenty of legitimate things to attack the Republicans on without making stuff up and going so over the top that you make yourself look ridiculous.

And then again, maybe not.

In July 1961, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Lyman Lemnitzer and Director of CIA Dulles actually recommended to President Kennedy to launch an all-out nuclear sneak attack to rid the world of the communist menace. The best time, they told him, would be the fall of 1963.
