"a celebration of american creativity: in performance at the white house" nea anniversary

did everyone see "a celebration of american creativity" last night on pbs? honouring the 50th anniversary of johnson's signing the act that created the national endowment for the arts.

fabulous program.

it was wonderful seeing everyone in the east room having such a good time, singing along, moving in time to the music, etc. seeing the president turning to michelle while smokey robinson was singing "my girl", and mouthing "my girl" to her, holding hands.

just a night of celebration, music, joy, laughter and love. a wonderful break from all the depressing, ugly, horrible things that fill the news.
