I was shopping in Morgan Imports one time when one of these happened and it rattled the building. I ran to the front of the store to see what had happened. Naturally it was a rental truck.

Meanwhile, the clerks were totally blase and as one said "It happens all the time".

Note: The camera on the left is on the Morgan Import building.

And with this being consumer warehouse and transmodal central trucks thought they could use the road as a shortcut. That trestle got hit like this around 10 times in a year. Now, they've added EXTRAORDINARILY clear signs way ahead with room to turnaround and reinforced the front edges of the trestle in case some idiot decides that the low bridge sign doesn't apply to him or her.

One guy was coming down the hill in the northbound direction and hit that thing at around 35. It peeled the top back like a sardine can about half way back. Guy i know was going to work that way and took a picture. The trailer was a total loss.

Don't get me wrong, I do find a bit of humor in all of this, but this is one costly bridge.

I hope no one gets hurt. I recall one of the videos where a motorcycle rider was nearly hit by debris. When you're riding debris hurts like hell. About a month or so ago, I was hit in the shin by falling fruit from a walnut tree... Only going about 45 or so, but man that hurt.
