Gov. Paul LePage made a racially charged comment in Bridgton last night, according to a Republican operative who is critical of the states top executive.
Lance Dutson, who runs the Get Right Maine website, which seeks to regain a more moderate brand of Republicanism, reported the comment on Thursday afternoon.
These are guys with the name D-Money, Smoothie, Shifty
these types of guys
they come from Connecticut and New York, they come up here, they sell their heroin, they go back home, Dutson quoted LePage as saying. Incidentally, half the time they impregnate a young, white girl before they leave, which is a real sad thing because then we have another issue we have to deal with down the road.
Dutson called it one of the most offensive statements yet from this governor.

(8,699 posts)If he was elected, it was the will of the people, if they voted or not.
In this case, Maine had the highest voter turnout in the country in 2014, 59.3%, they still re-elected this waste of space.
Might not have been a majority but he is still there.
At some point, I can only hope, people in WI, MI, ME, TX, MD, OH and so on will get tired of being embrassed, drinking lead or having the concept of equal rights for everyone shit on and actually get off their ass and vote.
Fyi, I am sure people work very hard to GOTV but it doesn't mean it's their fault that people don't vote. People have to make the individual decision to get out and vote. People have to believe voting will make a real difference.
