She's pro choice and resents that real living female minors would be forced to give birth if the anti choice people had their way.

The quote is pointing out how "pro-life" is a label claimed by/given to people whose stance leads to more death.

This is EXACTLY why I refuse to call them "pro-life." That is a focus group driven label that sounds nicer, but doesn't accurately describe their position, which is specifically against abortion. Let's all not play their game- call them what they are: Anti-Abortion.

Trying to tie the concept of being pro-life to being anti-abortion is one of the propaganda techniques used.

She is pointing that out.

It was really twisted, but hysterical. It wasn't on the air for very long unfortunately. I guess a lot of people don't appreciate her sense of humour.

Liked it, but I have a pretty off-center sense of humor. Was raised on Bugs Bunny, Rocky & Bullwinkle, MAD magazine, the Nat Lamp and Python.

The supremes have ruled that the fetus is not a living entity. It is living off the mother at that age. So until the fetus can live on its own, it is the mothers choice as to what happens to it.

Contrast that with an 11 year old giving birth.

Silverman is just pointing out that the life of the fetus isn't the only one at stake.

Childbirth can rip any female's body apart. Just because a woman is grown doesn't mean she won't have a tear requiring episiotomy and bladder and bowel medical problems or major abdominal surgery with a C-section.
