Here's a hint: If you're a reporter demonstrating a stab-proof vest, have the inventor wear the vest

A company which makes supposedly ‘stab proof’ vests had possibly the worst product demonstration in history - as a reporter donned one, and was stabbed.

Worse still, he was stabbed by Yaniv Montakyo, vice president of the company.

Reporter Eitam Lachover was testing the vest in the wake of a wave of stabbing attacks in Israel and the West Bank.

Montakyo pulled out a large commando knife and launched his attack.

Mr Lachover said, ‘You’re going to stab me with this?

Montakyo said, ‘You have nothing to worry about, we are very confident in our product.

‘This product can protect from knives that are stronger than this one. Don’t be afraid – if something happens, I’m here.

But as he stabbed the reporter a third time, Montakyo shouted ‘Missed!’ and he was hospitalised.

Lachover said, ‘Superficial stab wounds, had some stitches and was released back home. Many thanks to everyone for your concern!’
