http://www.marketwatch.com/story/report-yahoo-to-cut-at-least-10-of-its-workforce-2016-01-06
(MarketWatch) Yahoo Inc. YHOO, -3.86% is preparing to slash at least 10% of its workforce, according to a report Wednesday night by Business Insider. That would eliminate more than 1,000 jobs, according to the report, and cuts may begin as soon as this month. The Sunnyvale, Calif., Internet giant has been reeling in recent years. CEO Marissa Mayer's turnaround efforts have largely failed, and activist investors are calling for change. This week, Starboard Value LP urged the company to shake up management and overhaul its strategy. Yahoo shares fell more than 35% last year.

Yahoo will always be second to google in search. I do use their website quite a bit as I like the scrolling headlines that cover a large range of topics, but FFS, some of their writers are AWFUL. The number of typeo's, grammar errors, and logic fails has gotten out of hand in their stories.
And the guy who does their NFL power rankings is a fucking moron. Teams A and B have the same record, team A beats team B, somehow team B is ranked higher than team A the next update... wtf?

They've done enough damage with their "improvements" to the great old photo site. It's stable now, & I hope it stays that way. There are some great photo communities there, with none of the Instagram malarky.
