The most unstable particle in this fury is this damned 2016 circus of an American election. Emotions are most easily excited, dumb things about our weaknesses and strengths are said and believed by the electorate. Nor has our media really given us insight into what the Russian point of view really is, although Putin has stated it on several occasions. We keep insisting its the restoration of the Cold War Russian Empire -- which Putin has repeatedly condemned, saying it didnt work THEN and it wont work NOW. Hes deplored the fallacy of Communism. Meanwhile, we dont seem to understand or empathize with the true size of the terrorist threat against Russia.
We should be remembering in a time of possible all-out war, when most people seem to have forgotten what war is like, that its not Russia, the EU, the Mid-East, or Ukraine which have the most to lose. Its the USA -- us. Most of us would lose our lives, and wed certainly lose our economy, and generally a way of life thats spoiled us since WW2. I keep wondering WHY do we keep pushing for regime change and dominion over other lands? We never back down, it seems. Theres no end to the zombie hunger for more control. Nothing changes in our system of ill will towards any resisters, going back to the Philippines in the early 1900s.

And is anyone surprised a country based on genocide and built with slavery has spent decades doing some of the worst stuff on and to the planet?
War is part of the US psyche and economy. Its one of the great distractions our politicians use to keep us all in check.

Sadly we're used to the bullshit at this point.

(5,122 posts)During the debates, Hillary said we can not afford Bernie's proposals for a better America but she believes we can afford regime change..
What messed up priorities!
We continue to kill innocent people (collateral damage) which makes the survivors mad at us for killing their mother, father, brother or sister. They become a "terrorist" looking for revenge against the United States.
Our solution perpetuates the problem.
But, since war and profits are now the American way, it's probably by design.
Bernie Sanders. The sane choice that may just save America by stepping back from regime change and continuous war.
