(10,362 posts)Reading the article, it talks about creating 230 new federal employees and more funding for ballistics. How will they get the money without congress?
Maybe some DU lawyer can chime in here about the legality of doing this without congress. None of this might ever happen considering Obama is out of office in less than a year and the courts could delay enforcement until after the Supreme Court hears the case.

And even if it's not, I don't see anything here that would have stopped any mass shootings, but maybe I'm missing something.

There is a difference between dealers and sellers, but the difference has never been well-defined. Several of us on DU had speculated/hoped that there would be a clearer definition. Maybe its coming. The way CBS stated the EO is the existing law.
