Mr. Gardner said, “For me, the compelling question is the psychological state of his supporters. They are unable or unwilling to make a connection between the challenges faced by any president and the knowledge and behavior of Donald Trump. In a democracy, that is disastrous.”

lacking that much scrutiny as to what is going on. They are simply fodder in his hands, mindless guppies en masse and certainly more dangerous in their thinking than he is.

They spend their entire lives building their house of cards around their fragile egos.

They are also very good at convincing others that the house of cards is as sturdy as a stone castle. And they nearly always convince themselves as well.
