Between Scott Walker and his cronies hanging out the "Corruption 'R' Us" and the religious Jesus freaks, the Wisconsin GOP is good for just a landfill.
Wisconsin Legislator Asks Non-Christians to Convert for the Holidays
December 25, 2015 by Hemant Mehta 61 Comments
Wisconsin State Rep. Scott Allen had a public Christmas message for residents of his state that went far beyond what was appropriate for an elected official.
Rather than saying Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays and leaving it at that, Allen told Jews, atheists, Hindus, Muslims, and everyone else to consider converting to Christianity, before rattling off a handful of Bible verses:

A confused Wisconsin lawmaker claims the separation of church and state is a complete fabrication.Wisconsin Rep. Jesse Kremer, R-Kewaskum, sent the following tweet earlier this week:
The tweet reads:
Labeled an extremist for this factual comment to a Dane County lefty who told me, We ARE NOT a Christian nation.
Attached to the tweet is an image of Kremer with the following text:
We are a Judeo-Christian country and separation of church and state is a complete fabrication

The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,735 posts)It was once a progressive state; now Wanker and his GOP minions have turned it into a cold Alabama. I'm from there (Milwaukee and West Bend) but moved to Minnesota when I was a kid. We still have family in the Green Bay/Door County area, and I'm planning on visiting them next week. Unfortunately some of them are huge fans of Wanker (and I can't think why, except maybe for the fact that they are fairly well off), and I did annoy some folks last time I was there when I said bad things about the Koch brothers. They think the Kochs are wonderful people who've done great things for Wisconsin. WTF? All I can say to them is, here in MN (managed mostly by Democrats) we have close to only 3% unemployment and an economy that's going gangbusters - there is now a labor shortage in some areas - while in WI, with an almost identical demographic, the unemployment numbers are getting worse. QED. I enjoy visiting these relatives but maybe I'll avoid political discussions since they really don't get it.
All states have a few lunatic politicians (we had Michele Bachmann, after all; and some of the state/local people are nearly as daft), but why is WI letting these dingbats become so powerful? There's a guy from my old home town of West Bend who's mad as a box of frogs - I think he's a congressman. Western WI seems relatively sane but once you get east of Madison - oy!
