Most USA citizens don't get a good deal from their USA government anymore.
Black people get killed and jailed.
Brown people get vilified and deported.
White males wonder where all their jobs and privilege have gone.
The US government takes far more than it provides back. The entire security apparatus from the aggressively proactive military to the NSA to the CIA to Homeland Security to the FBI to the TSA to the militarized local police to the for profit jail system to the live shooter drill industry is unconscionably expensive. Healthcare, childcare, and student debt are unconscionably expensive. For poor people, legal and credit penalties are unconscionably expensive.
Wages, citizen benefits, and investments in the future are unconscionably low.
The only people who benefit are the previously rich, VP and higher corporate ringleaders, and privileged investors in hedge funds, Wall Street, defense contractors, frackers, pharmaceutical industries, etc.
We can do so much better as a country if we would only wake up before it is too late. We are hard workers. We are good people. We can fix this.
