and we rarely use either with sopapillas, which are largely a dessert, although savory ones can be filled with meat and chiles.

I like my green posole better than my red. It's hotter.

I've always preferred green too. I used to live in Santa Fe, have been gone for a long time. Place has changed, and not for the better. Hard to find unadulterated green the last trip I made.

I only like my sopapillas with honey.

The locals have been priced out unless they inherited the house and even then they're under intense pressure to sell, especially toward the center of town and on the east side toward the museums. One percenters want to knock down the adobe and build pleasure palaces on the land.

Same thing has gone on in Taos.
