Obama, for example, has only had the votes to do anything progressive for less than two months of his Presidency. Two months out of 8 years. Or literally 98% of his tenure he (will have been) incapable of doing anything outside of executive orders (which he, which many must decry, has used as effectively as possible in his second term).

All the shit on Obama is miplaced, and whoever gets the nomination (hoping it's Sanders though I admit it's a long shot, the recent polls are quite good though with him gaining in IA!), whoever gets the nomination is going to have to deal with the same crap.

Sanders gets my support if only because I know he'll go right to the American public and tell them what the problem is with the government and motivate changes in Congress (whether that will work I don't know, but it's better than the alternative, trying to win races using the same tired tactics with extraordinarily weak candidates).

But appreciate a place to go that does not make me wonder where the next attack is coming from. There is no real discourse on the attributes of our respective candidates. Some Hill fans started out with their private little club and posted some pretty nasty denigrating threads on Bernie fans back a while ago that was the start of it,now there are 2 private clubs where each side bans the other and never the twain shall meet... Pretty disgusting for sure...

If Bernie fans decided to abandon this place wholesale it would be heaven for her fans but pretty much dead bandwidth..

And yet, even with -- as they say -- representing 80% of the membership here (not sure if that's true but wouldn't care in the least if it was) they represent large numbers of tombstoned posters and folks on time out. Not exactly glimmering ambassadors for their cause but I don't think anyone is looking for them to be anymore.
