30% Of Republicans Are In Favor Of Bombing Fictional Town In Disney’s Aladdin!

People are so worked up by the GOP’s fear mongering that they are willing to bomb any town that even remotely sounds Middle Eastern.

That is absolutely absurd!

If I didn’t personally know Republicans to be this ignorant, I would think this was satire.

With candidates like Ted Cruz calling for “carpet-bombings” that would cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Syrians, and Chris Christie trying to start WWIII with Russia and China, Americans are completely petrified.

And rightfully so!

They asked the same question to Dems and 19% also said they would support bombing Agrabah. Sigh.

The exact breakdown was 30/13 Republicans for/against the bombing and 36/19 Democrats against the bombing. In other words, over 40% of Republicans have a strong opinion about bombing a fictional country and over HALF of Democrats do as well. It's not exactly a banner night for anybody on this one.

It's a bit hard to know the thinking of those who said no or didn't respond/have an opinion. I could see someone responding no if they knew it was a fictional place. But there's no way around the wtf for someone wanting to bomb a place while clearly knowing nothing about it, particularly that it was fictional.

looking things up. The act of becoming aware of and knowledgeable about current events seems to repel them.

Sarah Palin had geography and history deficits. And Herman Cain appeared, well, unprepared to discuss Libya:

Asked if the U.S. should bomb a city that sounds like it might be in the Middle East, 30 percent f GOP voters say yes, bomb it, because for too many of them that's how foreign policy disputes are resolved.

No wonder Donal Trump is leading the GOP national polling.

It’s worth noting that Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton is just as militaristic, or more so, than most of the Republicans when it comes to Isis and Iran. She has at least refrained, however, from calling for World War III with Russia or launching drone strikes in Mexico.

I wouldn't be surprised if %64 of Republicans found President Obama's response to Hurricane Katrina horrible.

Most of my friends are republicans. Sometimes the crap that comes out of their mouth is mind boggling. One older couple that I've known for almost 20 years is just sadly funny. He is an older Vietnam era vet, he might have a year left due to lymphoma due to agent orange will quote stuff from his old units veteran board. I mean, he still barely believes that Obama is an American citizen! I try to set them straight, but if he heard it on the Internet, IT MUST BE TRUE!

... an ineffectual king and his evil adviser. Even if Aladin marries the princess, and presumably winds up king, he has no experience, and could easily wind up unduly influenced by his advisers.

I don't see how bombing them would be an improvement, but this kingdom is in need of better government.
