Several years ago, he sent me some beach glass from MA that he had picked up one day in the spring. I still have it in a crystal bowl in my living room. If we ever meet, he's told me that I owe him a "beah". If that happens, he's due several beers.

I have 3 clear glass lamps filled with sea glass. Always an interesting topic of discussion with visitors not familiar with east coast. Growing up, for years we watched the garbage barges being towed out to sea so their contents could be dumped. That area was known as the black hole and is just now recovering. But the brown, white and especially the blue glass that washed up on the beaches was fabulous.

Not as much as the coasts, though. When unhappycamper sent me the glass he'd picked up, we were still covered with snow. This was not last winter.
