God, I still love America. State Capitol Building, Lansing, Michigan, December 19, 2015.

My sweetie & I just came back from the Satanic Society of Detroit's ceremony unveiling their "Snaketivity" statue right in front of the Michigan State Capitol building. It was attended by about 50 people, only 4 of which were religious nut jobs screaming that we all needed to "deny our lust & find Jesus." I think they actually need to get laid, but that's just me. It's in a fairly prominent place right next to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster display of spaghetti & meatballs. If the Christofascists insist on placing the Nativity scene on the Capital grounds, well, those of different ideologies have the right to do the same.

To be truthful, the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster's display looks like it was done by someone's preschoolers, but it did look better without the camera flash washing out the lights around its eyes. Still, it was awesome:
