DANVILLE, Va. - The Southern Christian Leadership Conference President is calling a new confederate flag billboard in Danville insensitive ...

"Once you found that the flag was a symbol of that government and that government stood for inferiority and oppression. Why would you want to fly that unless you are believe and have those values," Keen said.

... the group Virginia Flaggers, who put up the billboard ... says it's celebrating their heritage and honoring the soldiers.

Keen says there are other ways to do that, without the flag.

1. The SCLC is right, but the Virginia Flaggers (the WHAT?) won't see it or understand.

2. While I can sorta see the argument for a statue that's been there for a hundred years...

putting up a billboard is simply a slap in the face. There is just no excuse for it.

It's a deliberate insult, no matter how they try to spin it.
