Stop the infighting

We should stop fighting among ourselves over how liberal the candidates are and focus on the greatest threat we will face as a country for the next decade. That threat is the rise of bigotry and intolerance which everyday is becoming more mainstream. We now live in the unthinkable reality where a candidate can go as far as demean an entire ethnicity and religious group and instead of garnering unanimous repudiation we have seen his followers grow in numbers.

There are some who say this is because we are too politically correct but what is wrong is giving ground to xenophobes and racists who never take responsibility for their actions. They want a nation where the racist not only is free to discriminate in a work environment but is also admired by the masses. If we allow this to continue we will not only lose every bit of progress that was made since the 60s, we will also lose our identity and beliefs as we witness more of these type of individuals taking power in an ever spiraling nation of bigotry.

The infighting will continue at least through July 28, and perhaps a few days after that. nt ChisolmTrailDem Dec 2015 #1

Everyone should just support Bernie and be done with it.

He does after all poll better against the main threat you describe. If we're for minimising risk then let's minimise some risk!

If liberals arguing with each other bothers you, which can happen, especially considering how reckless internet debates can get, then give yourself a breather and get involve in some real-time political organizing. People are much nicer face-to-face

we have a part of the party that's managed to buy control and now refuses to listen to the rest of the party. I see no good ending to this.

Why do I suspect that "stop the infighting" really means "just support the status quo because even a RW corporatist dem is better than a republican"?

If there were "infighting" the rightward surge of the party would continue unabated.
