"No, the death of thousands of innocents is not what our country is supposed to stand for." But in the heat of the moment, and trying to please the slavering crowd, Carson decided to go with "resolute" rather than say he isn't okay with the deaths of thousands of non-combatants.

That is what we're talking about: How many innocent Iraqis, Syrians, and others in the Middle East must die so that the United States can go on.
