(14,449 posts)Trump was not good tonight. But I imagine the media will crown him anyway. Cruz was ok even though I hate him. Carson is goofy but I get a kick out of his explanations. I wish he were a democratic voter. Kashish did ok but not strong like other debates. Fiorina took up space. Nothing at all spectacular. Christie I actually did decent but again bash Obama is his main thing. Bush embarrassing. Rubio I noticed started to talk like a general nominee candidate especially on immigration. Hillary is in good shape.

(15,512 posts)Trump was grumpy and didn't have any zingers loaded but he held his own and Jeb just doesn't seen to have the chops to say his lines without flubbing them so he's probably gonna be leaving the island soon though I still think circumstances (ahem) might lead to his nomination. But it would take a major miracle for him to win the general. Rubio and Cruz both had good nights it seemed to me, Christie too.

(28,266 posts)The rest of the candidates ran rings around him, spewing all manner of statistical and historic details on a variety of subjects. Trump seemed off his game---even his insults landed with a thud. But he'll probably hang on to the lead......

(51,129 posts)Which is all he has. Oh, and he did get to say, "I've been in politics for six months. There's your reason to elect me."

(28,266 posts)That right there ought to disqualify him from the presidency. Rubio scored HUGE off of Trump's ignorance on that matter.

(51,129 posts)I'm quacking in fear. Who can I call to come over an look for terrorists and immigrants under the bed, in the closets, up in the attic, living in the garage, I know they are everywhere. Fear, fear, fear.

(81,866 posts)A lot of DUers are picking Paul, but he did nothing to help himself in the race. He might have taken a few positions that DUers agree with, but he didn't move out of the single digits

(86,673 posts)he sounded the most sane compared to the mindless, mind-numbing slime that oozed out of the rest of them.
And as RM pointed out last night, he shouldn't have even been there because he didn't have the poll numbers to let him in on that part of the "event".
Fiorina looked really pissed off and her speech was such that I had to wonder if the botox finally made it to her two functioning brain cells. None of them were able to differentiate between Daesh and real Islam nor were they able to do much more than provide lip service for their mic overlords by spewing fear all over the stage.
