(13,431 posts)1. It boggles the mind how we tolerate the Repubs obstinance on climate change.
By we, I mean as a country. No other country in the world has such formidable opposition to the issue. There is literally no opposition in many countries. I guess when the Repubs refuse to deal with facts and its wealthy puppeteers propagate stupidity among the masses, it's no wonder the US is seen as both an obstacle and a laughingstock.

All the delegates knew that they had to structure an agreement to avoid having it brought before our republican congress. They did a great job under the circumstances.
