12 Essential Tips for Surviving the DU Downtime This Weekend

1. See several movies in your favorite local theater.
2. Watch a "Storage Wars" marathon (there's always one on somewhere...Yeeyup).
3. Invite friends over for a gourmet dinner that takes hours to prepare.
4. Drink heavily.
5. Read every section of a major Sunday newspaper.
6. Double your Xanax dosage for 36 hours.
7. Do your online Xmas shopping or write long reviews of products already purchased.
8. If you already have four hidden posts, just go for broke before the outage.
9. Fly to Las Vegas for a three-day gambling spree (Bet on the election while you're there).
10. Throw a party where everyone is required to talk politics non-stop.
11. Visit other discussion forums to rediscover why they're not your favorites.
12. Check into rehab for 48 hours, just to regain your composure.

Here's a DUer obviously:

This banana slicer comes with no bananas.

The photograph clearly shows bananas.

You mean it costs 5 bucks and I still have to go to the grocery store for bananas? Outrageous greedy 1%ers. The revolution can't come soon enough.

I do like crowds but this is ridiculous. It's like Yogi Berra says, nobody goes on a Saturday night anymore, it's too crowded. Got what I came for, at least. My souvenir mug to add to my collection and smack dab in the middle of tonight's demonstration.
