I took my granddaughter to see "Suffragette" (The vote for women in England and trigger warning)

First on the way there we talked about what Scalia said yesterday. She was pissed. So I sent her some links when I got home.

Remember earlier this year I took her to see "Selma" Same thing.

Anyway the film shows very brutal treatment of women that just wanted the vote in England. Over a thousand were jailed (some long term) before it was over. Go see "Suffragette" even if you have to close your eyes a few times to see into the past.

Events in the film lead a wave of suffrage across the globe!

Suffragette Official Trailer #1 (2015) - Carey Mulligan, Meryl Streep Drama HD

SUFFRAGETTE is the first ever feature film to tell the inspirational story of the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement who risked everything in the fight for equality.

IMO, should be REQUIRED viewing for teenagers. They take too much for granted.
