Trump Set To Lose A Fortune As Muslim Business Partners Begin Boycott

Trump Set To Lose A Fortune As Muslim Business Partners Begin Boycott

Donald Trump clearly hasn’t learned any lessons from the backlash he suffered for his crude and offensive remarks against Latinos. After he doubled down on his declarations that Mexicans were “criminals and rapists,” a number of his business partners cut ties and sent shock-waves through his already-shaky “business empire.” Now that he’s decided he wants to ban all Muslims from entering the United States, his business partners in the Muslim world, who have made Trump millions, are furious and beginning to cut their own ties to rambunctious demagogue.

Arabian Business has reported that the regional retail powerhouse Landmark Group has stopped selling Trump’s products in over 160 stores from Libya to Pakistan.

The Dubai-based firm signed a deal in February this year to sell items from the Trump Home collection to customers in the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia through its Lifestyle outlets. However, the group said on Tuesday it would now remove all products from its shelves. “As one of the most popular home decor brands in the Middle East, Lifestyle values and respects the sentiments of all its customers. In light of the recent statements made by the presidential candidate in the US media, we have suspended sale of all products from the Trump Home décor range.”

Khalaf al-Habtoor, the owner of the United Arab Emirates-based conglomerate Al Habtoor Group, told the Associated Press that he has rescinded his previous support for Trump and is furious at the mogul for his disgusting statements:

“If he comes to my office, I will not let him in. I reject him. Maybe we can meet somewhere where I can debate with him in a very civilized way, not in the way he approaches people. When he was talking about Muslims, attacking them … I had to admit I made a mistake in my supporting Mr. Trump. He is creating a hatred between Muslims and the United States of America. Extremists like ISIS will thank Mr. Trump for his comments — this is very dangerous what he is doing to the United States when strength is partnered with ignorance and deceit, it produces a toxic mix threatening the United States and our world.”

be all over this:

however i will probably see the MSM report that when it is not all about propaganda...ie..never

it's fun to hear people gasp about US free press... when you can to compare the old (cold war) Pravda with Fox news of todayand Pravda wins cause they were semi believable in comparison

6. Trump Has A Building In Chicago That Has A Hotel, Restaurants & Lounges - Boycott It....

Here's a description of the amenities:

The design of the building includes, from the ground up, retail space, a parking garage, a hotel and condominiums. The 339-room hotel opened for business with limited accommodations and services on January 30, 2008, then full accommodation and services on April 28. A restaurant on the 16th floor, Sixteen, opened in early 2008 to favorable reviews. The building topped out in late 2008 and construction was completed in 2009. As of 2015, the hotel is among seven in Chicago with an elite five-star rating and the building hosts a restaurant that is one of five in Chicago with at least a Michelin Guide two-star rating.

Here are some local celebrities that own condos at the Tower:

Several local celebrities purchased units in the building, including numerous professional athletes. Juwan Howard, Rex Grossman (who has put his unit on the market), and Patrick Kane are among the purchasers of Trump properties. Derrick Rose purchased a $2.8 million 3,102-square-foot (288.2 m2) condo in spring 2012. Other prominent purchasers of units included McDonald's Chief Executive and President Don Thompson and WMAQ-TV (NBC 5 Chicago) president and general manager David Doebler.

Come on now - Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls) and Patrick Kane (Chicago Blackhawks) - really. They need to be embarrassed for supporting Trump.

Some reviews of the Tower:

Fodor's notes that the hotel has impeccable service and lavish amenities, but also notes that the hotel may be a bit "too decadent", with offerings such as $25 bottles of water.

Frommer's Chicago 2010 describes the hotel as having the gorgeous views and upscale amenities to provide a place to go to live the life of a wealthy tourist.

What would happen if people started to boycott Trump Tower in Chicago?

Certainly most of Trump's followers can't afford to even go there for dinner or a drink - so his supporters might want to vote for him - but they won't be able to support him financially.

And if those that could afford to go stopped going - Trump would be hurting in the pocketbook.

Couple that with foreign banks that Trump deal with might be cutting him off and a lot of big box stores already stopped to sell his merchandise - it would hit the Donald where it hurts the most.

Heaven forbid that people start protesting in front of this building.

Trump is damaging his brand big time. He is also damaging the Repug brand as well.
