If you have Hulu-A Journey into the Holocaust. Very strong graphic warning but we must NEVER forget

I used to think we were well past demonization of race....

I think this is worth a watch but I must warn you it is very graphic and disturbing. And it needs to be to even get a glimpse of the horror inflicted-beyond my memory even though I thought I knew.

And I do not agree with the entirety of the politics they mingled in towards the end. But for a honest portrayal of the events that led up to and occurred under the Nazi regime-it is very informative.

Trigger warning for the next paragraph

------
The most disturbing images of way too many was a mother nude in a group of other tightly huddled women-in a ditch they had probably just dug themselves. She was cradling a newborn baby in a last effort to give comfort.

Then there were the walls of the gas chambers in Auschwitz. Tiny scratches covered all the walls. Those were from fingernails as people packed standing room only died in agony.

----

The mind becomes numb to history & the tragedy-sometimes we must look it in the eye-and remember.

And do not stay silent when you still have a voice. Silence is probably the cruelest most cowardly act .

are from people desperately trying to climb higher, over one another trying to escape the Zyklon B fumes. It was reported that, when the doors of the chamber were opened people were piled in a huge pyramid.

It was very good. The stories are now recorded for all time. As the last survivors die, the deniers and minimizers (which are just as fucking bad), gain strength.

Another good one is about the excavation of Treblinka.
