months ago.

CNN needs the ratings. TIME Warner needs eyes on paper.

Trump is an idiot, but he sells and increases ratings.

Anybody who didn't know this would happen months ago is just fooling themselves.

Your long-held belief would hold a lot more water if you could kindly link to a post prior to the shortlist being released. If only fools didn't know months ago it would be Trump, can you kindly link to prove that you are not one?

I'm going with global climate scientists as the winners; but Putin or ISIS might be selected.

Anybody else wouldn't amount to half the sales and ratings.

Trump is a slow motion train wreck and the general populace cannot keep their eyes off him.

This is all about sales and ratings. Nothing more.

The impact doesn't have to be a positive impact. Bernie has had a positive impact, but Trump has had a negative impact. Which one was more consequential?

Chiang Kai-shek, Hitler, Ayatollah Khomeini, Ronald Reagan, and Stalin won the honors.

For better or for worse, Donald Trump has dominated the media this year and very much disrupted the GOP's plans to coronate Jeb Bush. Nobody on either side of the aisle expected we would still be talking about him in December. I can't think of anyone who has been more newsworthy.

It's Isis/Isil's leader with the very fake name of "Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi". Trump is a side effect of this nutcase's victories. I'll have to look up his real name, but he ain't no "Abu Bakr"
