My local 'news' ran a clip of Ted Cruz saying the wife in the SB attack passed the same vetting

process used for Syrian refugees. Of course, that's a lie and the TV anchor just let it pass. I can only find one online source for Cruz's statement and wouldn't post it here. It's titled, "Cruz: CA Attacker Passed 'Exact Same Vetting' Being Proposed for Refugees"

I've had it. I never thought I'd see the day when politicians can say any lie and not get called out about it.

Politicians are being permitted to openly lie without any challenge by the media. Prior to this cycle politicians always lie (it's in the nature of the beast) but before they had to be more careful, skirting the truth with careful elocutions and misdirection. But now, starting with Trump (and perhaps best highlighted by Carly's "I saw the baby chopped into pieces video", we have come to the point where anyone can say anything, no matter how outrageous and the press merely nods and publishes it.
