Cutting spending to Planned Parenthood and ending the Affordable Care Act?

I just read that the Senate voted to cut funding to Planned Parenthood and to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

What?

We should be increasing spending to Planned Parenthood. At the very least, to get them better security.

We should be strengthening the Affordable Care Act. Not repealing it.

Of course President Obama will veto.

But what the hell is the Senate doing?

so they can run against it.

They think de-funding PP is a winning proposal.

After all, every Republican Congressman and Senator's career would be incomplete if they didn't get a chance to cast a vote against the dreaded Obamacare (and now Planned Parenthood). Plus, it will help ensure that they can't be (easily) primaried by an even more rabid right-winger in the next election.
