(4,840 posts)if there are many at DU who will get why Bitcoin and blockchain technology is a step in the right direction. There are those who are going to look with suspicion on any monetary based solutions at all. I support real peer-to-peer cryptocurrencies but I know they have limits and won't address the underlying issues to which all monetary systems are suseptable: such as the centralized accumulation of wealth. There needs to be a system based on technology where the individual can more directly access the resources they need from the environment without a third party intermediaries.
In any event, Bitcoin does help to limit our reliance on third party intermediaries between people and, ultimately, their resources so I'm all for that, for the time being.

That said, yes I am a fan of Bitcoin and if you really think the populous of DU could jiggle the price of it by a penny - then your completely deluded.
