'A Charlie Brown Christmas' At 50

Tonight (Monday), ABC will air a special at 7 p.m. called It's Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown, to mark the half-century since A Charlie Brown Christmas first aired in 1965. Then at 8, it will air the special itself.

7. My mom (80), still calls me sometimes to remind me (51) that this

is on. That was a big deal back in the day. If you missed it, you were outta luck until next year. i try to tell my kids, who grew up with video tapes, about this, but they just don't get it.

I can't look at a small, less-fuller Christmas tree without thinking of Charlie Brown and Linus's blanket!

My Directv guide says the "A Charlie Brown Christmas" that will show after the "It's Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown" special is the 2010 remake.
