The Donald Trump circus entered a new phase Saturday when an elephant turned up at a campaign event in Florida.

The female Asian elephant named Essex, its side bearing the message “TRUMP — Make America Great Again,” appeared at the Sarasota rally compliments of notorious pachyderm handler Frank Murray.

Murray, a former handler with the Piccadilly Circus, was arrested on animal cruelty charges in 2012. Piccadilly immediately severed ties with Murray following his bust.

The circus handler also made headlines that same year when one of his elephants was barred from entering Maine after it tested positive for tuberculosis.
